Ingredients
- 4 cup(s) sliced peaches
- 1/4 cup(s) sugar
- 1/2 cup(s) butter or margarine
- 1 cup(s) flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
- 3/4 cup(s) vanilla ice cream
Directions
- Combine peaches and 1/2 cup sugar.
- Let stand for 10 minutes.
- Melt butter in a 8 x 12 x 2 inch baking dish.
- Set aside.
- Combine flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl.
- Add milk, mixing well.
- Pour batter into prepared dish.
- Do not stir.
- Pour peach mixture over batter.
- Bake at 375 deg.
- For 50 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with ice cream.
