Peach Cobbler (Old Fashioned)
Yields: 6 serving(s)
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup(s) flour
- 1 dash(es) salt
- 2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
- 1 cup(s) sugar
- 3/4 cup(s) milk
- 1/2 cup(s) butter
- 2 cup(s) sliced peaches; fresh
- 1 cup(s) sugar
- Whipped cream or ice cream; optional
Directions
- Sift flour, salt and baking powder.
- Mix with i cup sugar, slowly stir in milk to make batter.
- Melt butter in a 8 x 8 x 2″ baking pan.
- Pour batter over melted butter.
- Do not stir.
- Mix the peaches and 1 cup sugar thoroughly and carefully spoon them over batter.
- Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
- Serve hot or cold with whipped cream or homemade ice cream.
